The Panther Regiment is the Bloomington High School South marching band. The Panther Regiment works hard and has a lot of fun! We are known for performing with great energy and for entertaining crowds all over Indiana. We have earned a Gold rating with Distinctions in Music, Effect, and Visual 2021–2023 in the Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA), while also qualifying for ISSMA Scholastic A Finals 2021–2023. In 2024, we competed in ISSMA Open B, and qualified for ISSMA Open B Semi-State Finals for the first time in School history in 2025!
​The Panther Regiment is a very welcoming group of people and a great way for incoming freshmen and eighth graders to meet a whole new group of friends at South. It is also an exciting and rewarding musical opportunity where students will experience many trips, performances, and create wonderful memories that will stay with them well past high school!
